Ivo Mechels appointed to Google.org Impact Challenge on Climate expert panel

Euroconsumers is pleased to announce that CEO Ivo Mechels has been appointed to the Google.org Impact Challenge on Climate expert panel. Ivo joins the panel along with distinguished personalities from various backgrounds, including members of civil society and the EU institutions and various industry experts.

Google has committed €10M to fund innovative ideas that aim to use technology to accelerate Europe’s progress towards a greener, more resilient future. Selected organisations may receive up to €2M in funding and are eligible for post-grant support from Google for Startups Accelerator.

“I am grateful to contribute to this valuable initiative,” said Ivo. “This is a clear acknowledgement of Euroconsumers’ efforts to strive towards increased sustainability. Already this year we have launched various activities under our new Approved By Tomorrow sustainability approach, and more will come very soon at our Euroconsumers International Forum. I look forward to representing Euroconsumers on this panel to further demonstrate our commitment to sustainability”.
