Euroconsumers’ latest Consumer Affordability Barometer shows that households in Belgium, Italy, Spain and Portugal are starting to feel slight financial relief. But caution persists, and for the millions still trapped in survival mode, putting money aside remains out of reach. The findings highlight how fragile household finances remain and how saving has become a luxury many simply cannot afford.
