Partnerships

We partner with companies that share our mission to build fairer, more transparent markets.

For more than 60 years, we have represented consumers across Europe and beyond. Our research, surveys, testing and experience of real consumer issues give us a unique perspective on what people need, expect and experience in the marketplace.

We bring that perspective into our work with businesses — helping turn consumer insight into better decisions, better products and better experiences.

How we work with businesses

Turning consumer knowledge into market improvement

Our partnerships are designed around a simple principle: when businesses understand consumers better, they can make better decisions, improve their products and services, and ultimately create better markets.

01

Generate actionable consumer insights

Understand what consumers think, need and experience through surveys, studies, indexes and other forms of consumer research.

With access to extensive consumer knowledge and data, we help companies identify opportunities, refine products and services, and strengthen their positioning in the market.

02

Bring consumer and business perspectives together

Create meaningful dialogue around the issues shaping tomorrow's markets.

We work with companies to design and deliver roundtables, events and other formats bringing together businesses, experts and consumer perspectives around strategic consumer topics.

03

Test products and services

Put products and services to the test to identify areas for improvement, deliver a better consumer experience and meet EU regulatory requirements.

Our testing solutions help businesses improve their product safety, service quality, transparency and consumer practices in order to meet consumer expectations and comply with European safety and consumer protection standards.

04

Create consumer raising-awareness campaigns

Work with us to develop campaigns that help consumers make better-informed decisions on issues that matter to both business and the public interest.

We combine consumer expertise with communication and education to turn complex topics into useful, accessible information.

05

Consumer issues trainings & legal advice

Equip your employees, collaborators and other stakeholders with the knowledge they need to navigate complex consumer issues.

We design training programmes and offer legal advice covering areas such as consumer law, regulatory compliance, financial literacy and other topics relevant to your organisation.

Partnership in practice

Our commercial partnerships are developed through Synallagma, our Brussels-based consulting company.

Euroconsumers believes that strong businesses need strong consumers, and strong consumers need strong businesses. Our aim is not simply to criticise markets, but to help improve how they work and ensure they deliver the good, affordable and innovative products and services consumers want.

Working with companies is one of the ways we can bring evidence about real consumer experiences and expectations to market players, helping them make better decisions and improve their products, services and processes.

Our mission remains to care about what consumers care about and empower them to navigate and improve the market. Working with companies complements this mission: it gives businesses access to evidence and insights that can help them better understand and respond to consumer needs.

We believe sustainable outcomes can be built through common understanding, dialogue and partnership.

No. Partnerships never determine our positions; our positions determine whether a partnership is possible.

Euroconsumers remains fully independent in its consumer work and positions. We work with companies where there is a shared interest in improving markets and delivering better outcomes for consumers, while maintaining a clear separation between commercial activities and our independent consumer work.

A commercial relationship does not prevent us from raising concerns about a partner or taking action where evidence shows that consumers' interests are being harmed or consumer law is being breached.

No. We do not endorse companies, brands or specific products, and a partnership does not imply or grant any such endorsement.

Our members' comparative tests are conducted and published independently of any partnership. A commercial partner has no more influence over a test result than any other company or product on the market.

Companies gain an independent, evidence-based understanding of how consumers experience their products and services, and what they expect from them.

The purpose is not to promote a brand. It is to help companies identify opportunities to improve their products, services and processes based on real consumer evidence.

Ultimately, every partnership serves the same goal as everything Euroconsumers does: helping deliver what consumers want and need, and giving them access to better products and services in a fairer and more efficient market.
