What we stand for

Vision

Consumers are a vital part of society and the economy.

We believe consumers are more than end users. They are one of Europe’s greatest assets and their collective power can help shape better markets.

Markets are changing fast. Consumers face rising costs, vulnerable supply chains, digital risks and growing environmental challenges. Our role is to make sure markets keep delivering what consumers need: products and services that are good, affordable, innovative and trustworthy.

We believe consumers should shape markets through their collective power and choices.

We want businesses and policymakers to respond to real consumer needs and expectations.

We work towards markets that are fairer, more efficient and more sustainable for all.

Mission

Turn consumer insight into positive change.

We listen to consumers, gather evidence and bring their experiences and expectations to the places where decisions are made.

From independent product testing and research to advocacy, enforcement and partnerships, we use consumer intelligence to influence decision-makers, challenge unfair practices and help deliver better products, services and markets.

We bring real consumer experiences into constructive dialogue with businesses and policymakers.

We challenge unfair practices and encourage market players to do better.

We give consumers a stronger voice in shaping the products, services and markets they depend on.

How we get there

We connect the dots between people and the market.

Empowered consumers can shape markets through their voices and choices. We connect consumers, businesses and policymakers to build trust, drive innovation and create better products, services and markets that better meet people's needs.

Euroconsumers is a group of six national consumer organisations in Italy, Belgium, Spain, Portugal, Poland and Brazil representing more than 7 million people. We combine independent information, personalised services and the defence of consumer rights to help people make informed choices and drive positive change in markets.

We listen to consumers and gather evidence through research, surveys and product testing. We use this evidence to inform, advise and represent consumers, shape EU policy, enforce their rights and work with businesses, policymakers and other partners to improve products, services and markets.

We promote constructive dialogue wherever possible. When consumer rights are violated or unfair practices persist, we use the legal tools available to us, including complaints and collective actions, to hold companies accountable and defend consumer interests.

Consumers can contact our member organisations in their country for information, advice and support. Through our network, their experiences and expectations also help inform our research, advocacy and wider efforts to improve markets.

We welcome opportunities to work with organisations and businesses that share our ambition to make markets work better for consumers. Depending on the objectives, collaboration may include research, partnerships, events, EU-funded projects or other forms of collaboration

Yes. We believe strong consumers and strong businesses need each other. We engage with businesses through dialogue, research and partnerships to help develop better products, services and markets. Our independence remains fundamental: collaboration does not compromise our evidence, positions or decisions.
