DECO PROTESTE announces its intention to create a Portugues National Sustainability Day
Euroconsumers’ Portuguese member, DECO PROTESTE, has announced its intention to create a National Sustainability Day, an event that would be celebrated every year on 25th September, the same day on which the 17 Goals for Sustainable Development were adopted by the UN in 2015.
DECO PROTESTE has already submitted the proposal to the Portuguese National Parliament, and is now awaiting the scheduling of the discussion of the topic in plenary session.
This initiative not only intends to contribute to raising society’s awareness for climate change, an urgent matter,it also seeks to further the discussion on the importance of sustainability, so essential for the security of future generations.
