About this webinar
Refurbished goods seem to be everywhere now. Shops and online marketplaces promise new smartphones or laptops that are ‘as good as new’ and big brands are taking back old stock to recondition it and resell.
It’s part of a rise in what some call ‘re-commerce’ which captures remanufacturing, reconditioning or even just buying second-hand. Choosing a refurbished product means keeping products in use for longer, which keeps demand for newly made goods in check and means less energy, resource and waste, and it should save consumers money too.
But is this emerging market mature enough to give consumers security, safety and protection as well as sustainability?
